OBJECTIVES FOR INSTITUTIONAL GOALS:

• Sound biblical learning and a biblical worldview as evidenced by choosing and retaining faculty with a spirit of excellence and a heart for Christ.

As indicated in the evidence report “COE 10 Faculty Listing” most of the faculty at CCV is actively engaged in ministry. Many faculty members are respected senior pastors in local churches. CCV retains faculty information for faculty applications, resumes, and college transcripts. Each faculty member affirms his or her commitment to the CCV statement of faith annually.

• Academic innovation as evidenced by modernized learning platforms.

CCV classrooms have technological improvements for electrical plugs and charging stations for laptop, tablet, and mobile device power. The beta lab classroom and contemporary chapel where classroom lecture occurs have touch screen display boards, microphones, and projector capabilities. Both rooms are used for hy-flex class delivery where students may attend in class or online virtually. Wifi is available for students throughout campus. The student resource center has three study cubicles with recent desktop computer upgrades for internet access and Microsoft Office Suite software for assignment and presentation preparation. The student resource center also have hard copy books from a variety of commentaries, Bible dictionaries, and references. Students may also print documents for free on the student resource printer.

CCV has enhanced the course requirements for course content through evaluations in our “CNCS – CCV New Course Standard” Sheets which document the number of classroom lecture hours, professor qualifications, textbooks used, and supplemental materials. Courses are under continuous improvement to ensure they meet the standards imposed by our educational partner, Lancaster Bible College, through our Simultaneous Enrollment Option Memorandum of Understanding.

• Spiritual growth of the community as evidenced by regular prayer and worship gatherings.

CCV has regular bi-weekly chapel meetings. Most classes start and end with prayer at the discretion of the teaching professor. Most students on campus attend chapel and beginning in fall 2021, the new Spiritual Formation Program will be instituted where students who attend at least two on campus courses will be required to attend a prescribed number of chapel services and serve in the annual Missions Impact Week. Students are encouraged to lead in chapel and preach during chapel.

• Sharing the Gospel through word and deed as evidenced by course offerings characterized by sound theology and biblical worldview.

The Gospel is at the center of CCV’s activities. Students are challenged to share the gospel beyond the classes offered in missions and apologetics. CCV has a vibrant campus community where debate and sharing of ideas is heard regularly throughout the hallways.

• Accessible education for people from all backgrounds as evidenced by affordable tuition and scholarship opportunity.

CCV’s history began with Dr. Albert Brown and his passion to make higher education affordable to local church pastors. CCV continues this mission and as indicated in our racial percentage ratios we have high numbers of minority students represented in our student body. CCV offers two scholarship programs. The Carson Riley Scholarship offers up to 50% off tuition through a need based scholarship for students. The Gary Foss Memorial Scholarship offers students aged 18 – 26 a free associate’s degree scholarship through our Simultaneous Enrollment Option with Lancaster Bible College.

• Expanding resources for all students as evidenced by institutional partnerships.

CCV has a partnership with Lancaster Bible College to offer student dual degrees at the associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degree level. Students simultaneously earn a Biblical Studies degree at CCV along with a professional degree at Lancaster Bible College online in Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Biblical Studies, Marketing, and Sport Management. CCV is in discussions with Clark Summit University to come to an agreement on a similar arrangement for students to earn a dual degree in Biblical Counseling.
