A Word From Dr. Jonathan Henry

If you have been around Cornerstone College of Virginia lately, you may hear the term Simultaneous Enrollment Option, or SEO.

What is SEO? The best explanation is a mutual credit transfer.

As CCV leadership discussed how best to serve its students, the question of accreditation continued to arise. We decided to become an affiliate institution of the Association for Biblical Higher Education, rather than pursue accreditation, which would have inflated costs to students. ABHE provides resources to improve our service to students and keeps us accountable to adhere to the essentials of the faith.

Nevertheless, we understand the desire, and sometimes need, to earn an accredited degree.

The Lord opened the door for us to find a solution with ABHE-accredited Lancaster Bible College. LBC agreed to transfer in CCV credits toward its non-traditional undergraduate degrees, which are offered online.

We at CCV agreed to transfer LBC credits in to our Theology degrees. Thus, students can earn a degree from CCV and a degree from LBC simultaneously. It is a cost-effective way to obtain an education that prepares students for ministry in the church and in the world.

Fifty years ago, a passion for equipping God’s people for life and ministry led to the establishing of Fredericksburg Bible Institute.

Today, as Cornerstone College of Virginia, we continue passionately to equip God’s people for kingdom work.

Whether you use a CCV education for the pulpit or as a Christ-centered foundation for a career in business or criminal justice, we firmly believe that we can equip you for your calling.

I personally invite you to visit Cornerstone College of Virginia for our Open House on March 15th at 6:30.
